About Fukuoka City
  Fukuoka is a city of many historical sites, beautiful natural views with mild climate, arts and crafts. Fukuoka is a thriving place with a population of about 1.4 million, the largest city of Kyushu Island. Located near from Korea and China, Fukuoka has been serving as a gateway to Asian from ancient times. In fact, Fukuoka is recognized as one of the most livable international cities in the area, and has been experiencing dynamic growth and development as a hub city for the East Asia, hosting numerous international air and sea routs throughout the Asia and Pacific regions. Unlike other cities, Fukuoka Airport is within easy reach of the city center. The travel time, via the modern subway system, is less than 15 minutes from the city center. You can easily fly out of Fukuoka to most domestic cities and Asian major cities such as Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong or Taipei.

  The workshop will be held at Fukuoka International Congress Center, located at Fukuoka convention area which has several convention centers such as Marinemesse Fukuoka, Fukuoka Kokusai Center. The rich natural beauty of Fukuoka has been recognized by Hakata bay and islands in the Genkai National Park.

Access information

From Fukuoka Airport:

By Subway
  1. If you arrive at International terminal, please transfer to the domestic terminal by free ride bus in the airport. From domestic terminal you can take a subway (Kuko Kine) to "Nakasu-Kawabata". Any train is OK.
  2. Then get off at Nakasu-Kawabata to take Hakozaki Line bound for Kaizuka.
  3. Get off at next station "Gofuku machi".
  4. Take a walk to north along Taihaku-dori Avenue up to the end of the street. Then you can find Fukuoka International Congress Center

From Hakata Station:

By Subway
  1. Take a subway (Kuko Line) bound for Chikuzen Maebaru.
  2. Get off at "Nakasu Kawabata" to take Hakozaki Line bound for Kaizuka.
